MLBA Newsletter May 2019

PRESIDENT’S COMMENTS:

I hope this newsletter finds you all enjoying our warm weather and green pastures. As we get busy with breeding season preparations, spring planting, and finishing up herd health work; stay diligent with safety practices around the farm.

On behalf of our membership, I would like to thank those who put in many hours of preparation and hard work to make our state sale and banquet a success. It was a great weekend coming together as an association, visiting with fellow members, and honoring the achievements and accomplishments of this past year.

June 7, 8, & 9 will be the MLBA annual field day. It will be held In Sedalia at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in conjunction with the MCA All-Breeds Show. Please make plans to attend. The two MLBA shows will be on Saturday with a free pizza lunch in between.

The MLBA is hosting the National Junior Limousin Show & Congress in Springfield June 29—July 5 at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. We are continuing in our efforts to raise funding for this event. Advertising on the “outfield wall” is still available. Large signs are $500 and small signs are $250 for the week. We are also selling tickets on the lease of a Chevy Duramax Crewcab. If you are interested in either opportunity, please contact Brooke Edwards or Susie Heavin.

I am looking forward to a great spring and summer for our association and its members. Don’t miss out on all these opportunities.

Ty Heavin, President
